About Vulcan Veterinary Physiotherapy
Leah’s passion for animals began in childhood, growing up in a household full of German Shepherds and horses, with her father a farrier and her mother an avid equestrian. Surrounded by animals and involved in their care from a young age, Leah gained hands-on experience in various disciplines—from mounted games and show jumping to dressage. Leah spends her downtime training her PRE stallions and mare, working towards young horse classes and the hopes of training towards wearing her tails and competing within Grand Prix.
Leah’s professional journey started with a distinguished saddlery apprenticeship, where she developed a keen interest in biomechanics and the impact of poorly fitted equipment on animal health. This led Leah to her journey into Veterinary Physiotherapy where she continued her passion of improving animal health and received a First Class Honours.
Leah now treats a range of canine and equine patients across South East England, improving mobility, function, and overall quality of life through physiotherapy. Leah is committed to evidence-based, compassionate care, with a keen interest in performance horses. Specialising in postural re-education through the process of targeting the neuromuscular system through fine tuned rehabilitation techniques. Leah is now proud to offer INDIBA radiofrequency within her practice, a scientifically evidence based modality targeted towards equines to improve their function, mobility and overall quality of life. She has seen truly immense changes to her case load since the addition of this amazing modality.
