What to expect & what’s included

  • 1. Discussion

A thorough discussion of your horses/ dogs history to gather a good overview prior to treatment including- health, lifestyle, current performance or any performance issues, new injuries or past, any behavioural changes or concerns

  • 2. Static

A static assessment involves assessing your horse's or dogs conformation & posture. This indicates a lot about your animals overall condition & can be referred back to, allowing for changes to be monitored.

  • 3. Dynamic

Your horse/dog will be assessed by walking & trotting in hand, backing up & making small circles (if appropriate) and any other movements desired to help with assessment. It can be useful to have you tack ready as watching your horse on the lunge or under saddle can help identify certain issues.

  • 4. Palpation

There is no better way to learn about what's going on than getting hands on. Palpation requires a thorough examination of joints, muscles, and bony landmarks to identify key areas of tension and pain.

  • 5. Treatment

Results from assessment findings and pre/existing conditions will be used to create a tailored physiotherapy treatment plan as well as discussion on any changes towards home/ exercise plans. Teatments will include soft tissue release, joint mobilisation, stretches, electrotherapist

  • 6. Plan

Making an achievable plan for your horse's/ dogs whether its maintenance or rehabilitation will include home exercises, treatment frequency, and any necessary home changes needed to be beneficial.
